This Advanced Outdoor First Aid course is aimed at those who currently deliver First aid courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work, Forest School First Aid or Paediatric First Aid and would like to be able to deliver the 16 hour Outdoor First Aid course.
It is also suitable for those who already hold the AOFA but who would like to refresh their skills and consider the OFA course from a trainer/assessor perspective.
Throughout the 3 days we will explore the OFA syllabus and learn both how to deliver and also assess this course. Through completing the AOFA you will gain additional knowledge and understanding of managing casualties in the outdoor environment which will be invaluable when delivering the OFA course. We will also explore in depth some of the topics that learners may ask you about on the OFA course such as drowning or temperature related illness.
To ensure that you make the most of your valuable time, as well as the Advanced outdoor first aid, we will also be offering the completion of one or more of the following during the 3 days:
ITC 16 hour Outdoor First Aid
ITC FAW (requal) with a current in-date FAW
Annual assessor observation
7 hours of CPD
If there is anything else you need to complete or would like to cover let me know in advance and I will see what can be organised.
